Redesigning Fluent's AI Client Reporting Tool

Fluent reached out to us as they had created a product for creating client-facing reports seamlessly using AI - but their interface needed a bit of modernising to truly reflect their brand.

In just one month, we managed to:

  • Redesign their entire product
  • Prepare mockups ready for use in their new video ads, on a tight deadline
  • Bring cohesion to their entire user journey
  • Align their product with the mental model of their users
  • Built a set of stylish and modern decks which their product could utilise for client reports

We started by auditing their existing flow, walking through each step in the process one-by-one, and capturing any potential moments of friction.

From there, we began a process of rapid wireframing to ensure we were completely aligned in where the product's functionality was going to be changing, and how that may look.

Next, we moved into the high-fidelity design process, creating the new interfaces in Figma and sharing regular design rationales and walkthroughs with their team regularly to ensure we were all aligned in our thinking.

During this process, we kept asynchronously touching base via Looms, Trello comments and a shared Slack channel to rapidly iterate on concepts and ask important questions.

Finally, we handed off the design to their internal dev team and concluded our work with a set of three stylish slide decks which varied in art direction to allow Fluent's clients to have expertly-crafted reports in moments. Clients could also fully customise the reports to their taste and brand requirements.

All of this was done in just one month, and the Fluent team was very happy with the outcome.

We previously had two designers in-house and we all agree that you were more productive than both of them put together in the quality of work that you produced. You were fantastic. Your price could definitely be higher and it wouldn't even be a question in my mind.
